Heron Blue is the solo project of Scottish musician Fraser MacMillan. In 2019, he approached me with a lovely idea for his album cover. At the time, Fraser was very inspired by Japanese art and we wanted to reflect that in the use of clean thin outlines.

We created two illustrations - daylight and nightlight - to go on each side of the album cover, inspired by the side A and B of a vinyl. We also designed what would become his logo.
